It could be his ears playing tricks again, it could just be his life flashing before his eyes like it's done many times before. That could very well be the case; It felt like a far off dream, soothing despite its urgency, like a siren reaching out to him in order to drag him down to hell with her. It made others cry and whine, and sob and scream, and yell, and hurt and- even take more lives. That's why death was bad. That's why everyone feared it. Because people fear the unknown. Because people don't want to fade. That's why life was supposed to hate death..

    So why did he feel warm? Why did he feel- safe? At ease? Why did he feel... at home?

    Maybe death wasn't so bad after all.
