“I don’t wanna,” Glenn whined. He stamped his foot, which wasn’t as effective since he took off his boots. If he got out of the van, then he had to put his blankie down, and he had to put his boots back on. He didn’t want to do that! He was comfy!
“What’s wrong with you?” Darryl asked, which felt very mean.
“What’s wrong with you?” Glenn retorted.

Glenn swallowed hard. It was so cute. The little raccoon was maybe ten inches long, and its limbs flopped around where the man dangled it in the air. Its eyes shined in the sun, and the toy had a happy smile on its face. “Cute…” he managed to say, and the man smiled at him so happily.
“They’re only two silver, if you’d like to treat the little boy?”
Damn it all. Glenn did want to treat the little boy inside of him. He wanted the raccoon so badly.
