Akielos and Vere have many differences regarding their culture, and if there was something that would be particularly hard to make each people accept, was their view of intimacy in relationships. However the wedding of their kings may resolve this tension.
Nikandros wasn’t so sure about that theory, and actually, he caught himself thinking how he wished his royal best friend would have been killed two years ago. Quite mean indeed but that was the only sentence he could think of to fairly punish the alpha for making him his witness in the Consummation ceremony of the wedding night.
For if his king’s intercourse with his omega wasn’t his business, there was something worse than to watch it : listening all the other witnesses’ commenting about the way the couple was mating.

Laurent is angry.
Some would argue that Laurent is always angry, which isn’t completely untrue. Uncle often told him that no alpha would want him if he kept acting like that, which only made Laurent angrier. Back then, he had already decided that he wouldn’t allow any alpha to claim him, choosing a life of célibat instead of one of servitude.
When looking for his first place after leaving his brother’s house, Laurent made sure to find an alpha-free building, which is why he is even more angry. Three months has he been there and although he hasn’t told anyone yet, it has been three months of pure torture.
The thing is, Laurent is angry but most of all, Laurent is horny.
And it’s all because of his downstairs neighbor, Nikandros. Or, more precisely, his alpha friend. -

“I would hope so. That’s usually what happens when I kiss you,” Damen said, but his playful overconfidence was overshadowed by the concern on his face, the downturn of his lips.
Laurent rolled his eyes. “Not there,” he said, and took Damen’s hands to bring them to his chest, to the two swollen peaks there, turning onto his back as much as he could without suffocating under the weight of his belly. “Here.”

He didn’t know how Paschal could tell the difference between nefarious intent and natural illness just by prying Laurent’s eyes open or pulling on his tongue, but Damen let him either way. Laurent did not protest. All he did was drop his jaw and hold out his shaky arms when Paschal requested, and then shoved his face back into the crook of Damen’s neck when Paschal was finished with him.
