Monsters have returned to the surface, and with it, a whole new host of problems.
The human mages are making a comeback, too. The monsters seem to have triggered something in the SOULs of certain humans.
Of course, one of those humans just had to be you.
Now, you are faced with a world of oppression. A world where you are punished for the sins of your ancestors. A world where your kind is spat on.
It’s just your luck, to face all of this, on top of war, PTSD, personal problems, and memory loss.
To top it all off, it seems you’ve managed to slip under the government’s radar, and have to discover what really happened to you, on your own.
But, maybe, with the help of two skeletons, it won’t be as painful to navigate through your trauma and look for a future.

Summary
The Reader was a normal human when monsters emerge from Mt. Ebott. Five years later, she is separated from her family and barely surviving on a day to day basis. She is a Green Mage, acquired by the state, forced into the duty of rescuing those around her. She doesn't hate her job.
She hates that's it's forced upon her.
Blueberry had been on his morning jog when he stumbled upon the scene of a human about to commit suicide. Despite his efforts, the human succeeds and it causes Blueberry to go into shock. It's the Reader's job to help Blueberry deal with his trama. Too bad there are politics involved, mucking up your job.
TLDR: Blue gets hurt, Reader heals him and ends up in a skeletal pile.

This story takes place in the dream bubbles, it follows the adventure of PreRetcon Eridan and Karkat. In death they meet again, their feelings as pale as ever. They’re dead so one would think they have anything to worry about anymore right? No more world destroying game or malicious villain they have to defeat. It’s too bad that demons don’t die so easily, and that they'll sniff you out where ever you go. They’ll be followed by their regrets and pain, plagued by the knowledge of what failures they ended up being. Maybe they can help each other overcome their demons and maybe for once enjoy existence, maybe the afterlife will be so much better for them than life ever was.
