Summary
This little skele, a Sans type, is used to taking on whatever title was expected of him. So when the entire multiverse tells him he is a 'Bad Sans' who can really blame him for joining others who fall under this title. That is as long as Nightmare finds him useful. His past titles have left him with a very limited set of skills, knowledge, and expectation. Yet he is willing to give up so much more just to stay.
First chapter is NSFW, and then there aren't going to be much until maybe in the future. Plenty of triggers so please tread carefully, I am not used to posting for others to read.

I was 13 years old when I first wrote the original DaLDoM fic and it SHOWS. Now that I've been cursed into hyperfixating on Undertale AU's again, one of the main things I've wanted to do for so long is rewrite this fic, and the time has finally come! Don't expect any of the OC's that showed up in the original fic, the main focus will mainly be on Dream and Nightmare.

It's been three moons since Night killed everyone in his village. Its been three agonizing, heartbreaking moons since he had killed his brother.
There's not much to do in a soulless world. This changes, ever so slightly when he hears a desperate call from someone in the abyss.
Night doesn’t know what to make of his new situation, and he can't bring himself to move on just yet from the horrors he's committed. But life demands his interaction and input, so he forces himself up anyways.
Dream would do the same, if they were here. But they're not, so Night might as well pick up the slack.

He needs to end it now. This version of Nightmare doesn’t even know what’s coming. There’s no malice in him yet. No corruption. No hatred.

Initially, Nox almost thought of it as a blessing—a well-placed diversion—someone else to keep Sol busy. Perhaps there would be fewer messes for him to clean up after.
His wishes had been nothing but a fleeting delusion. Carnage and havoc multiplied tenfold. The contention between those two was tinder to wildfire, and Nox was always the one left to smother the flames.
He could never escape the reminders of them. Sol radiated a sickly, overwhelming euphoria that diseased everything he came into contact with. Nox was painstakingly aware of his brother’s location at all times.
Nightmare’s corruption was the opposite, a heavy, rotting air he felt as easily as the breath from his ribs. When those auras contaminated the same space, Nox’s instincts went haywire, an expected response toward something so unnatural.
Someone like him would never be merciful when judgment fell upon Sol.

Summary
The story follows Nightmare, a young skeleton, who runs away from his parents' castle after being locked in his room by a curse. Desperate and lonely, he is found and rescued and taken to a new castle where other skeletons live. In the castle, Nightmare finds comfort and support that welcomes him and promises him freedom and safety there. Despite the trauma and pain he still carries, Nightmare begins to feel like he can finally find a home and heal among the new friends he has made.
