Shadow milk let out a deep, shaky sigh. His body felt heavy and tired, and despite the fact his eyes were not open yet, he could feel the pull of needles in his arms. Some sort of mask was strapped over his face, however it didn’t cover up the unfamiliar stench of burning dough and amber.
A tingle crawled its way up his throat, the threat of puke was enough to push him into opening his eyes.A struggle though it was, he finally got his heavy lids open. Through his blurred vision he could see a rusty, old waffle-bot floating above him.
“Subject awake, state your name.”
The waffle-bot spoke to him. -
