Cheng Xiaoshi was already an adult with his own job and life. He worked with his best friend and his sister by his side. Life was great.
But sometimes... He still remembered him. His failed love, Ivan.
That's why when he found an old photo in his drawer, somewhat wrinkled and battered, of him and Ivan when they were teenagers, he thought about using his powers to get back there. Now Ivan was a popular idol. He wouldn't even have the chance to see him, much less speak to him again... he'd probably forgotten about him, too. This was the easiest way, and, after all, he promised himself he wouldn't change his past. He just needed to find closure on this concern he'd had for years. It was the easiest way.
And when Cheng Xiaoshi decide something, he was too stubborn to back off.

Akutagawa peered up from his watch and blankly stared at Atsushi. This wasn’t a game. Why did Atsushi always take these missions so lightly?

Akutagawa was tempted to slap that hand away and force Atsushi to repeat the three rules again seriously, but he closed his eyes and realized that it would only be a futile effort. Better just to get this over with, so they could both rest easy.
Akutagawa and Atsushi have the power to travel back in time to the past, but there are three rules they abide by: only 12 hours in the past, no changing the past, and no asking about the past nor the future. But does everything always go as planned?
When the two of them are saddled with a new mission given to them by Lucy, Akutagawa and Atsushi become embroiled in a case that changes their lives forever.

Al-Haitham stays silent, his eyes burning through Kaveh’s soul. The blonde hair man sighs and throws his arms out.
“One. We only have 12 hours. Two. Listen to your instruction and don’t change anything,” Kaveh adds under his breath, “though that rule is loose,” he continues, “Three. The past is the past. Don’t ask about the future. Simple right? Maybe for someone as brick-headed as you.”
Al-Haitham doesn’t move one bit,“If you were any less emotional it would make this entire process a lot easier, hence the rules. Don’t forget these lives are in your hands. What you do could change their lives for the worse.”
Kaveh rubs his temples, “Or for the better!”
Al-Haitham holds his hand out, “But that is not for you to decide. Your life is yours, and their life is theirs. Don’t tamper with a person that is not your own. Past or future… let them be, Kaveh.”
“Past or future, let them be,” Kaveh mocks, “maybe you should live someone else's life for once.”

Katsuki has the ability to see what happens within 12 hours of when a photo is taken. Izuku can dive into the photo, taking control of the person who took the picture while Katsuki guides him. Together, they take jobs from clients and perform 'dives', Katsuki making it clear that they can't alter the past in any way.
During a dive, Izuku learns a hard truth which has him close to breaking Katsuki's most important rule to not change the past.
