Psychological abilities sound like total bullshit, unless they actually work then Kevin has to acknowledge, with equal parts intellectual curiosity and fear, they're absolutely terrifying. The fear part he doesn't need to focus on right now, he just needs to stop panic attacking long enough to get him and his shattered hand somewhere safe, out of the Evermore orbit.

Dripping from the man’s mouth. The gorilla of a man is slumped pitifully across the pathway, neck exposed, entirely limp — perhaps dead — and the fox is drinking his blood.-

Summary
The bar was, by no surprise, still just as empty. An old TV was fastened in the corner closest to the battered pool table, hoisted up in the corner to display to the ever-so-many patrons a rerun of some sports interview with the sound off. The carpet frayed around the edges where it met the linoleum underneath the bar stools, dotted with beer stains and crusty underfoot. The EXIT sign hung above the main doors flickered neon green with a dull hum and consequentially faded to nothing. Typical. The metaphor wasn't lost on Neil, his neck still clamped by a sweaty hand attached to what he could only describe as a psychotic midget. The blond was still smiling, a twisted grasp of what could only be assumed as humorous.
"What, no ' Welcome Home' banner for our newest addition? How disappointing."

Neil is in Witness Protection, and has no problems with keeping up his facade. That is until he does what any average male his age may do, and gets himself a job. The Foxhole is an underwhelming bar, with underwhelming service. His coworkers seem to be some sort of twisted DIY family, and the vast majority of them are hellbent on welcoming him in.-I started this when I was sixteen and don't know how to keep up.

It's the middle of the pandemic and cooping up yourself AND your feelings is going very poorly for both Andrew and Neil, who by the way do not know each other in more than passing (yet *eyebrow waggle*). Neil feels unsafe playing alone where he could be heard, and Andrew can't stand the vulnerability that comes with a creative outlet. He has a habit (he considers appalling) of playing on the roof of his apartment and playing *all night*. Once he starts he's got to let it all out; there's no stuffing that back in where it came from. Neil, feeling restless in his own right, clings on to the thread of music from the apartment building across the street, allowing it to tempt him into playing first in the relative safety of his own apartment, and eventually drawing him up onto his own roof.

Neil Josten lived in apartment C12 in one of the nicest apartment housing buildings in the state. He was the Vice President of his family business. They were stationed in Baltimore, but he lived in South Carolina to handle the business’ expansion in the South. While the business itself was small, it was a profitable one. That’s why Neil could afford things like a nice apartment and a car. The Josten family business had lots of business partners which is why there were often unfamiliar faces at his apartment.
That is what every person who was an acquaintance of his would say about him.
The only problem being that nearly every word of it was a lie.
(Or the one where Exy never existed, Neil never ran away, and Andrew is his hot and mysterious next-door neighbor)
