Summary

When Ontos escapes, Malos is determined to find him. Even if that means teaming up with Rex, Pyra and Mythra – and facing an old ghost from his past.

So I really wanted to connect Xenoblade X to 1 and 2. So years ago, before XC3 was even announced, I made a story where Klaus is a survivor on the White Whale, and helped NLA transition into the old Morytha!
When I noticed the Siren Model Kit lore, my whole concept kind of fell apart, so I stopped writing shortly after. But I think this beautiful teenage fanfic bullshit deserves to be somewhere, So here it is!

This was written before the release of Future Connected and Xenoblade 3, so the story and specially the chapter dedicated to Melia in this fanfic don't take those events into account.

After Shulk invokes his desire for a world that has no need for gods, he, along with Alvis, Fiora, and Melia, are transported to the world of Alrest, where they are fished out of the Cloud Sea by a young salvager by the name of Rex and his Titan guardian, Azurda, who offer the group a ride to the Argentum Trade Guild, where they can figure out what to do next from there.
But, after Shulk has a vision of Rex being stabbed through the heart by a masked man, the group soon find themselves roped into another adventure to save the dying world as they accompany Rex and a Blade by the name of Pyra, who just so happens to be Alvis' sister, to the paradise spoken of only in myths and legends known as Elysium, while searching for the remainder of Shulk's allies and putting an end to the genocidal plans of the terrorist organization known as Torna... as well as trying to find an alternative energy source for Fiora's Mechon body before it's too late.
