When the taxi horn beeped outside, Two Time stood reluctantly, grasping the handle of their suitcase. Amarah rose with them, steadying himself.
"Take care of yourself," he said, voice softer now. "And remember - even if the world puts you in a position you didn't choose... you are still only yourself. No one can take that."
Two Time swallowed hard, blinking fast. ".....Thank you, Amarah."
He patted their shoulder gently, a small squeeze of reassurance. "Go on now. Don't keep them waiting."
Two Time stepped out the door, the morning air sharp and bright, suitcase rolling behind them. They didn't look back until they were at the taxi, and when they did, Amarah was still at the window, waving.
And for the first time since this all began, the nerves settled just enough to let a flicker of hope shine through.

Azure doesn’t come out of her cottage one morning, so Two Time goes to check on her. What they find is them laying in bed, bedridden with cramps. They make a decision, they have to help, just... where to find a heating pad around a place like this?
Or; Two Time decides to become a knight and save Azure from her period cramps by being smart in everything except “what do these feelings mean? i wouldn’t do this for anyone else, surely it’s only because they’re my best friend ever”.
Or or; Two Time introspection fic plus me being self indulgent AND projecting my cramps onto Azure. AND!!! my old yearning onto Two Time.

Summary
Azure is a burnt-out horror author in desperate need of a breakthrough story to keep his fame alive. After re-visiting the cafe that his father frequented before going missing when Azure was sixteen, he meets a young man named Tylar, who attempts to help him by bringing him to a place inhabited by a group called 'The Spawn's Children'. However, his plans (and life) quickly get flipped on it's head as he realizes that this 'group' is actually a cult, and whether he likes it or not, he's the newest member.
