Summary
The chain agree to crawl through a mega dungeon for some unknown artifact. They are still unsure of whom they can trust but can't deny that the challenges ahead sound fun! More importantly the chain will have to share their struggles and trauma and learn more about each other if they wish to go home. Deals were made along the way and how will those effect the future? And why had Hylia given Wild the Ancient hero's aspect in the first place? Who was this ancient hero? Hopefully they all survive long enough to find out.
This is an AU for 'Aspects of a Hero' by Tashacee because I can't get these scenes out of my head and now it's become much bigger then I ever imagined. I have changed the name of this work as I think it is big enough to deserve its own. This work was once called 'Au Aspects of a hero'.Series

Link was a fool. Why did he have to pick up that secret stone? Now he's stuck in the past, playing the role of a prince and trying desperately to get home (does he really want to leave?). Things only get worse as time passes, however. Ganondorf is rising, and as the people he had grown to love all die around him, Link isn't sure he'll make it out of this time alive.

Link, meanwhile in the present, has decided to prolong his search for the rumored "fifth Sage" in favor of rescuing Hateno Village from a recent tragedy, all the while hearing a mysterious voice call out for him.

When Zelda was first unexpectedly thrown into the ancient era, she had no idea what horrors would await her. Granted, she never meant for any of this to happen in the first place.
Needless to say, as Zelda gained her bearings and set a course to head home, the last thing on her mind was the people who stood behind Hyrule's oldest of fairytales.
So yes, Zelda was taken aback by the character and nature of Hyrule's first and most ancient Hero. Mainly because he was a lot like a lost dog. And he was - somehow - the son of Rival Kings, Rauru and Ganondorf.

After Princess Zelda passes out in a spring due to hypothermia and almost dies, she awakens and has a very public emotional breakdown due the pressures of unlocking her sealing powers. Afterwards, she is appointed a Knight attendant and they quickly become friends. With the calamity looming they receive guidance from Goddess Hylia that could very well change the fate that has already been written for them.
Pre-calamity AU with connecting some of the games together .
