Tim Drake's life couldn't get any worse. His dad and friends were dead, so was his ex. And now Damian was making his life hell at the Manor. And Bruce was making sure he attended school, after enrolling him in a new one. What he didn't expect after missing a few days due to injuries was to meet a new student. Peter Parker was different to the others, a scholarship kid with a bright smile and a brain that Tim could respect. Maybe being friends with a civilian was crazy given everything, but he just needed something to him himself.
And now there was a new vigilante making waves in Gotham. One that no one could get a good look at. At least they weren't killing or targeting Robin like Red Hood had.

He was alive—sort of. Trapped in a place between life and death, a place out of time. Fighting through blood-soaked trials for a chance to return to life because that was the promise: be the last one standing and you earn your way back.
Because he wasn’t alone.
There were others, scattered through the trials — all vying for the same chance at life. But one stood out.
He’d never met the boy, not really. Just watched from afar, back when rooftop sightings felt like ghost stories. Now here he was—no mask, no armour, just a kid with bruised knuckles and something defiant in his smile

Tim's life has never been normal. At the age of 11, a woman told Tim he was a wizard and that he was accepted into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. At 18, he fought in the Second Wizarding War. Apart from that, he raised himself since he was eight while his parents traveled, so what did he do with all that freedom? He took pictures of his two heroes, Batman and Robin. He later became Robin and was almost killed by his hero and later on by his mentor's biological son. So, needless to say, his life has never been normal. Or it has never been normal for someone born with magic.
So what happens after he and the Bat's are attacked by a thing that could suck the happiness out of them?

he could still feel it, the way death’s cold breathe lingered under his skin. rotten pieces of wood still embedded in his fingers from when he tried to claw himself out, and his throat still stung from when he took his last breathe. He was buried alive, so why was he still alive?
