And that will just not do.

It’s a good life, a secure life. One that Tommy is mature enough to recognize that he is incredibly lucky to have. He is grateful for his lot in life, whenever he stops to think about it.
And yet, despite everything Tommy has going for him, he’s… bored. At least, that's the best way he can think of to describe it. The monotony of his normal, predictable life (no matter how lucky he is to have it) just seems to drag on him. Everyone else his age always seems so enraptured with the successes and struggles of their steadily evolving lives. Tommy can play the part of the ever-confident Big Man, but whenever he actually stops to contemplate where he is there’s just a disconnect between him and his reality.
There is an itch deep under Tommy’s skin that he can never seem to scratch. He can’t help but feel that he is meant to be doing something else, meant to be doing something more.

The scene was, quite frankly, a mess. Judging from the remains of the building, it could’ve been a bank. Then some evil twat had a temper tantrum and went to get some money, he guessed. Tommy’s wings extinguished behind him, smoke curling away from his back. Tubbo’s weapon was fully formed now, an impromptu metal baton.
They totally looked badass. So, so pog. The coolest of heroes.

Tommy's an aspiring Hero with Tubbo for a partner, just trying to make Philza proud. But when they're suspended from Hero duties for two weeks (two weeks! Over a single little ordinance!), they make a friend in the strange person who forgot their wallet at the local Italian ice shop.
However, this person has dark secrets of their own: he works for the infamous villain Devilry, known for stealing Quirks by the thousand from anyone who dares cross him. Oh, yeah, he also accidentally poisoned Technoblade. That's a major plot point apparently.
Between man-eating monsters and Vitruvian Man by Da Vinci, everyone's in for a while ride.

Dream was twenty two years old and an undercover cop. Not many people knew that, his own sister included. Living the double life was surprisingly easy since most things were taken care of by his cop buddies or his adoptive mother, Puffy. Puffy was a whole other situation. She didn’t know. She was a good mother but she was pretty oblivious when it came to her children’s issues. Even Dream could see how Tubbo had trauma from HBomb and Schlatt’s drinking or how Drista flinched whenever a figure of authority singled her out. He never confronted her on the issue, fearing she’d react the same to him. So he settled for helicoptering her. Making sure that she was safe.
Then he got his next mission.
Track down and bring in The Color Bomber.

He is the best in this field, everyone falls into the rhythm that he composed and waves their primes with delight hoping he would pick them amongst the other. All he had to do was smile and wave back, maybe indulging them with a little sweet promise of power and they’ll work as a soldier of ant beneath his fancy shoes.
What a fun life, he noted to himself. Humming in contentment but this is getting a little bit old considering that everyone that he aims is predictable. He wants a change of pace, something thrilling and something that will fuel him with adrenaline and so he set his sight straight to the kings of this city of light.

or, I want a smart Tommy who is hard to get attached and I also wanted to write an au where Tommy is actually the bad guy but also not?.

Summary
Tommy grew up in a lab with Dream. Tommy is narcissistic and has no amygdala meaning he doesn't feel much fear, he's prone to manipulating people and seeing people as "toys" but because he's young he gets away with it.
Dream, on the other hand, has animal instincts, and is pretty much mixed with lamb and ox breeds. He naturally has anger issues and heightened emotions since birth without the experiments but for some reason has the ability to revive people. They don't really have reasoning for this however.

Tommy and Dream grew up in a lab, Tommy isn’t a good person in this fic neither is Dream.

Tommy Theses Kraken Innit is faced with hard choices. So many. Too many. He doesn't know how, or why he was hand picked by the cruel and unforgiving hand of fate, but you know what, he'll roll with it. He is the biggest man to ever exist anyway. Aside from The Angel of Death, the only man to ever exist.
So when Tommy's life starts going down hill, letting him plummet from the skies like his feathers are being actively plucked, he doesn't give up. Doesn't even consider it. Nope. And so what if the two kids he was trying to help got kidnapped. So what if his best friend and main reason to exist gets blown up, leaving more then just phycological trauma. and so what if his new job is with the very people that he has sworn to never trust. not again.
Tommy Theses Kraken Innit doesn't let any of it get to him. He's just too big of a man for that. wait that's toxic masculinity. He's just too amazing for that to every affect him at all.
