Summary
Solfrid High-Land is destined to become the Listener of the Dark Brotherhood, but her way to getting there is rather circuitous. Laughter, love, and loss seem to follow her wherever she goes....
The main plot starts out following canon questlines from the perspective of a young adventurer named Solfrid High-Land, but gradually deviates more and more as the world expands around her. Mainly inspired by my main playthrough of Skyrim, but this story is not tied to the options the character is forced to follow in-game. I'll add more characters, ships, and tags as I write them. Chapters are subject to revision as I write more and edit as I go.

On the night before Saturalia, in a Skyrim reeling from the onslaught of a bloodthirsty Last Dragonborn, a certain orc chef doomed by fate escapes his assassination by a stroke of blind luck. Panic drives him into the swamps of Hjaalmarch, bound for a meeting with Morthal's favorite bard: another orc marked for death by the Dark Brotherhood, currently engaged in celebrating the happiest day of the year!

Summary
Miraena "Mira" Jurafort came to Skyrim with one intention and one intention alone: get away from her family. Well, she succeeded.
Crossing the border to Skyrim seems completely harmless outside of context, but the second she stepped over the threshold, her whole life changed.
She's been through the runner plenty of times, suffered a beaten and battered heart along the way, and now she's found herself in the folds of the Dark Brotherhood. She's gotten used to turning heads, but one set of eyes in particular can't seem to tear away from her, and it's making her question just how much she can take.
Her primitive wolf blood isn't making this any easier.
