Peso loved his medic job on the USS Octamerous, working under the great Captain Barnacles. Everyone on board is scheduled for routine checkups. These were Peso's favorite since he got to converse with so many of his fellow ensign. His next patient however, was making him feel a bit nervous.
This takes place in the Star Trek universe. I'm thinking Lower Decks era.

The course was simple. Swim from the shores of Australia's course to a point in the ocean where the gups were stationed. Find one, get one and get out of there. Head up to the Arctic and race across sea ice before getting back in your gup on the other side and getting down to the shore. But in a violent turn of events, is the course as safe as it seems.
This includes many OCs throughout the stories but they hopefully aren't confusing.
