“Look, I would absolutely love to take the kid in, I really would, but right now I can barely even take care of myself. I am working two part-time jobs on top of going to school full time. I also have four other roommates so I wouldn’t have enough space for him. I can babysit and I will be in his life, but I can’t be his caretaker. If I was out of med school, it’d be a different story.” Clay said not looking at either of his brothers. “That’s okay bro. This is why we're having this conversation now. As for me, I have the kids and I can make the space if needed to take him in, but I’m not sure I can handle a little brother and the kids together full-time.” Bruce said as he patted Clay’s back. “I can take him. I have the time and the funds to take care of him. I also have two great big brother’s who I know will help me and babysit for me when I need them too.”
11/15/2025- I'm going to be going through the chapters and re-editing this as well as updating it within a week or two pending on life. I apologize for the hiatus. I've lost a few family members so I haven't felt like writing this, especially the funeral part

Summary

In this universe, Branch is found by people who didn't understand, but learned to. And despite the fact those people are supposed to be far too different from him, he feels more like them than he has anyone else.
A 'Branch gets adopted by the Rock Trolls' fic because I fell into a Trolls rabbit hole and I have to be the entertainment I want to see.

Surviving in the wilderness really isn't all it's cracked up to be.
After being gone for a year, John Dory returns to the Troll Tree to find it completely empty. Save for one troll: His baby brother, Branch. Thinking the trolls and the rest of his family dead, he sets off once again to the Neverglade Trail, this time, with his baby brother in tow. Fueled by fear, guilt, and voices from the past he just can't seem to escape, he wonders if he made the right decision.
But he promised his brother he would never leave him again. So he wouldn't.
Besides, he was never known for his great decisions anyways.

OMG... My Rythem Of Time Story just reached a 100 Kudos, thank you so much, everyone, for all your love a support. Seeing this happen today made my day, since I was just given bad news about my mouth pain issue I've been struggling with. Anyhow, in celebration of hitting 100 Kudos on the first book of my Rythem Of Time Series, I decided to release the first chapter of my Human Au Story that will be touched on within the Rythem of Time series during the AU Arc of the Series.
So what would happen if Branch past and future events within the rhythm of time series were applied to the Human Universe? Some things may differ, some may be the same, will destiny still link the hearts of those we know? Only time will tell.

Yes, maybe the other three boys weren't that important to Branch, they had all left without saying goodbye. It had made Branch think it was his fault they were separated, yet it was because of Floyd that he still believed that what had happened wasn't his fault, that what they experienced was just a one time thing . Believing him was their salvation.
"Look, if there was ever a brother I would do this for, and I'm not saying there is..." He sighed, "It would be Floyd."
But still Floyd did things, he didn't do them as violent as the others, he didn't make as much of a fuss but he didn't stop once he started. When they were done, he'd hear Floyd cry, giving little kisses to calm him down and then they'd go on again.
Floyd was sweet, he apologized for his actions, it didn't make them any less painful. He just wanted to make him feel good, Floyd was the only one who said goodbye, he didn't leave him like trash and promised to fix what he broke with his fingers, however he had grown tired of waiting for him.
