Grace drags a hand down her face. "And then what?" she asks. "I live on the streets? I don’t exactly have any other family to go to."
"We’d go somewhere, just the two of us. Find a little apartment together. Pick up odd jobs—or maybe you could be a housewife—"
Grace smacks her arm, but her heart isn’t in it. Eupha catches her hand, lacing their fingers together, squeezing possessively.
"Just… think about it, okay?"
Lost for words, Grace only squeezes her hand back.
