They did not talk much but understood each other : Lucius needed money and a job to keep his life from collapsing on itself, Stede had an outrageous amount of Neorepublican Gold and a brand new quantic galleon waiting to be manned.

It’s probably close to eleven by the time anyone disturbs him. Ed is halfway through a bouquet and singing along to Cyndi Lauper when the door’s chime alerts him that there’s a customer. He looks up from the mess on the counter, and the first thing he notices is the bright pop of teal.
A man stands in the doorway in a vibrant suit and flattering lavender tie, curled blonde hair coiffed and shimmering like a halo in the sunlight. He doesn’t seem to have noticed Ed, but Ed sure as shit notices him.
