Normally Cait would have been relieved to wake up alone. It always meant she could have some peace, that she could wake up on her own terms, without harassment or expectation, without prying hands roughly dragging her from her dreams and slamming her back down into her nightmarish reality. But with you… shit was different. Even more painful than waking up next to someone she feared and despised was waking up without you by her side. The truth was like a flaming brand being pressed mercilessly to her chest, making plain to herself and everyone around her that she was hurt. That you had hurt her. She never thought the day would come.

Funny how we think our foundations are so strong when we're actually building on top of sand.
"Remember to live." It was more than a saying - it was a mantra. It kept Leah going from the icy chill of the slowest time machine, all the way until she was marching on the gates of the Institute. She entered the Commonwealth like an iceberg, lives swirling into new patterns as she passed through. People didn't simply survive now - they *lived*.
But taking the Institute to task for their crimes is only the first step. What comes next is the hard part.

Summary
Before the bombs fell, Lena, the middle child of three sisters, was drafted to serve a tour of duty in Anchorage on behalf of the US Marine Corps. A traumatic injury in the line of duty left her with an honorable discharge and the inability to readjust to civilian life in her rural hometown. After their father's death, she found herself volunteering to become the guardian of her younger teenage sister, Mary Elizabeth. If she had not, the responsibility would have fallen to Nora, the eldest daughter, who was finishing law school and trying to establish a family of her own in Boston.
210 years after the war, Nora awakens from cryostasis in Boston, unaware that her two sisters had also been placed in a separate cryostorage and had already been navigating life in the wasteland for over five years. Down in Mississippi, Lena is told by Mary Elizabeth that Nora and Nate might still be alive. Deciding the gamble was worth it, they made the arduous trek to Boston and found far more than just their family in the remnants of the old city.
The three sisters find their allegiances split between separate factions, despite their shared goal: to destroy the Institute and reunite Nora with her stolen infant.

He was pulled up by the hand before he said back, “Plan for what?” At least his throat wasn’t clamping down around his voice box anymore.
“To find Shaun.”
It was a while later, in his old bedroom with the now chipped dark green paint, and he was watching his brother change. The blue fabric slipped down his back, blue and black mottling from frostbite marred his pale skin. He shouted and he was quick to grab him as he saw the name stretching down his spine in a neat cursive script.
“What does it say?” He asked, hands shaking as he tried to twist to see it.
“Johnathan McDonough.”
Will waved at him to take off his clothes and he did so and found the name on his own skin, gliding over the left side of his chest in a messy scrawl.
“Robert Joseph MacCready"

When Taylor triggered in that godforsaken locker she instead of triggering with control over insects got sent into a parallel world where the world has been destroyed in a nuclear war. But this isn't about her struggles through the Commonwealth Wasteland, this is about how she made her way to the ruins of Nuka-World and became the Overboss and how she adopted the Raider Gangs as her feral murder happy family. They have accepted this and no, they don't know how this equally feral murder happy child came to be theirs but they're not letting anybody take her from them, not even when a dimensional rift opens up back to Brockton Bay. Brockton Bay it's time to Crawl Out to the Fallout for The Nuka Queen has Come.
