Virginia “Ginny” Rogers became a nurse not only to follow in her mother’s footsteps, but also to help herself be better equipped to help her sickly twin brother, Steve. Then, during one of her first years working, World War II erupts in Europe, and suddenly her profession and purpose becomes bigger than just herself and her family.
So, when Ginny is approached with a recruitment offer for a top-secret project in which she would be working directly under the most renowned and brilliant scientist of her time (and her highest inspiration), it’s almost a no-brainer for Ginny to accept (though she would never say such a thing to the Colonel that recruits her). Cliff Secord, aka "The Rocketeer," is tasked by Howard Hughes and the Army Air Forces with stopping the production of new Luftwaffe weapons that could drastically change the war in the air.
There's only one small snag: none of them realize that each of their missions would take them to the same place.
But it shouldn't be too much of a problem - there's plenty of the enemy to sock on the jaw for all of them.
