Immense, searing pain then struck through him. He had been turned over onto his back. Through his heavy lidded eyes, Killua saw the frantic face of someone above him. Through the haziness, the person was obviously saying something, but Killua heard nothing but an annoying buzzing.
Killua’s mouth turned upwards into a smile. Whoever this was, they were worried about him. It was a nice feeling. The face clearly belonged to the voice he had heard before. Home. Warmth. Friendship.
Then, there was the worst pain Killua had felt in his life, then all of a sudden, nothing. He was completely numb. He no longer felt the rocky ground beneath him. His cheek was pressed against something warm and there was something holding him beneath his knees.
I just want this to be over.

Quizás era raro, pero en algunas noches se acercó a Killua y con bastante disimulo, sintió su aroma.
El olor a sudor producto de un duro entrenamiento se quedaba en segundo plano. Killua seguía oliendo igual que siempre, similar a Isla Ballena… similar a su hogar.
Fue para ese punto que aceptó para sí mismo que amaba el olor de Killua.
A veces, sentía que Killua olía un poco a él. Le daba miedo que su aroma original se fuera pero, por alguna razón se sentía bien en su pecho saber que Killua olía a él, cómo si estuviera marcado.
No le desagrado llegar a la conclusión de que tal vez su olor y el de Killua se estaban unificando por pasar tanto tiempo juntos.
Aunque el aroma de Killua, siempre sería el aroma de Killua.

The silver-haired boy swallowed. Hard. Yet his throat was tight, so tight that it felt like he was suffocating.
“You’re such an idiot,” he shakily whispered.
Gon stirred slightly but didn’t wake.
Killua glanced at him, his sharp blue eyes softening at the sight of his slumbering friend.
The silver-haired boy nearly chuckled, almost letting a soft laugh escape his trembling lips, yet nothing came out. His eyes traced the outlines of Gon’s warm, dreaming features, mesmerized at the way his eyelashes cast delicate shadows upon his soft, flushed cheeks.
Gon’s chest rose and fell, his fingers slightly twitching against the surface of the silk sheets now and then, almost as if he were unconsciously reaching out to him.
Gon looked…peaceful. Utterly peaceful. Beautiful.
And Killua knew, had always known, that Gon was beautiful.

Se habían acostumbrado a compartir. Era una palabra que los perseguía en sus aventuras. Compartían prácticamente todo, comida, tiempo, artilugios valiosos —ya sea una caña de pescar vieja o una patineta de ruedas desgastadas—, incluso llegaron al punto de compartir hasta los pensamientos. Aunque no fueran conscientes de eso.
Dormir en la misma cama no era raro. Era algo que había surgido de forma natural, de la misma forma en la que las flores brotan del suelo y los arcoiris aparecen en cielos húmedos. Ellos no tardaron en acostumbrarse a moldearse uno contra el otro, adaptando una silueta que funcionaba cómo la pieza de un rompecabezas, dónde juntos encajaban a la perfección: extremidades revueltas, abrazos perezosos, patadas por las noches y un calor hogareño por todos lados. Siempre se había sentido natural.
Esa noche en Isla Ballena no fue una excepción, de no ser porque Gon se levantó en medio de la madrugada, sin esperar oir a Killua llorar.
