Summary
The first day in North Carolina, fresh off the plane and into the freezing winter weather, Karl got Sapnap McDonalds as he complained about the cold.
On the eighth day, a snowstorm hit the town.--
Karl glanced at him momentarily, and they made eye contact, before Karl’s eyes focused back on the road.
It dawned on Sapnap, right then, that he was there, in North Carolina, with Karl Jacobs, for an entire week. Seven days (eight if you counted that day) of uninterrupted time with Karl, and Karl alone. No leaving a call, no Quackity randomly joining to scream at them about something or other, no disconnections due to bad wifi or service. No escape.

Summary
And it fits them: Sapnap like a punch in the solar plexus; George like a sniper round; Dream like a mouthful of broken glass. Fits because it's the kind of love where the cab crumples and the windshield cracks and the airbag bursts open, and, well, they rigged this ride to explode right from the beginning because that's the only way they're getting off. Because that's the way the story needs to end.
The three of them love like arson. Like planning it to look like an accident, their bodies full of gasoline instead of water and craving ignition.
We're waiting. We wrote it this way. All you have to do is strike a match.

love love this series from the very beginning (aka dreamnap date night) and i must say that this band of authors write with power and strength in their prose. their works on the fake!dteam are gripping and so incredibly well written and characterised that i haven’t forgotten them since january 2021. this au has a steel grip on me, and so does it’s writers: big big kudos to you all. one of the only works and series i have read that lives in your head rent free and seizes me in a chokehold with prose and grace. so extremely well done.

honest to god, i think this is the best writing in this fandom. it’s just so gripping and visceral and so blunt and gorgeous. the au is really a fascinating way to explore darker/more unhinged sides of the dteam. slaughterhouse!sapnap come give me a big kiss. ok i’m done. just read this
