Dan is at home at the apartment while Phil travels home for the holidays. Something happens where Dan’s flight is cancelled due to bad weather, so he can’t go home for Christmas and is stuck at the apartment by himself. Aka sadness. Dan doesn’t tell Phil though, because he doesn’t want him to worry. But Dan didn’t know that his family actually called Phil to tell him this, so Phil surprises Dan late Christmas Eve, right before midnight.
