Summary
Shadow was in stasis after the events of Project Shadow, and fifty years later, the facility he was brought into was compromised, as if someone wanted Shadow to escape from Prison Island. Whomever it was, Shadow didn't care, he was just wanting to grieve the loss of Maria, but G.U.N just won't leave Shadow alone, nor will Team Sonic.
Shadow fights with both forces, then found himself exposed to the Chaos Emeralds...
When he opened his eyes, he was reliving the day that he lost Maria... the very day she was killed and Shadow realises that he has an unprecedented opportunity, to save Maria and change the fate of the one person he cares about... and maybe gain something more in the future.

Summary
The raid on Gerald's lab doesn't go according to plan, as Maria and Shadow escape and in the ensuing chaos Shadow saves her life before the eyes of stunned soldiers, proving that his powers at least are more than a tool for war, that they are a tool that can heal as much as harm.
Cue the training of Shadow to learn how to save more lives as the Ultimate Lifeform becomes the Ultimate Healer alongside Maria, as the pair still refuse to be parted, not that G.U.N want to do that any more as the bond between the girl and her alien hedgehog grows deeper than even the pair themselves realise.
Shadow decides that he's never leaving Maria's side, no matter what happens.

Summary
When Stone makes a grievous mistake in the lab, Robotnik decides to take on a more hands on approach to punishing him. The first time he has had to in 2 years.
It had been an effective method on the dopes that had filled his position before Stone, who would consequently do anything to avoid being forced to withstand the doctor's hands on them again. And would then subsequently quit because the workload was too much.
But this time it has the opposite effect. Suddenly, Agent Stone is a bumbling fool that messes up even the simplest of tasks so Robotnik has to punish him further.
He just cannot puzzle it out - why is his new regime not working?
