Between concern over strange chaos energy emitting from Sonic's storybook and a longing to see a certain knight, Shadow and Sonic both have reasons for wanting to visit the world of Camelot. After finding their way there, Sonic is surprised to discover that, unbeknownst to him before, he, too, has a double — the ruler of the kingdom, a very real King Arthur, who is apparently on horribly bad terms with his closest knight, Sir Lancelot. After a terrible falling out between the two and a life-or-death ultimatum from the king, Shadow shocks everyone by taking Lancelot's place. Now in exile, Lancelot is brought into Sonic's world, and the knight must contend with the often devastatingly drastic differences he encounters. Meanwhile, through a series of events, Shadow eventually finds himself in the position of Arthur's queen; though not all is well as he navigates what that entails and as crises emerge in the kingdom.

And by the time Eskel was deemed free of the Leshy and able to rest, everyone else in the Keep was wrapped around the fingers of Geralt’s daughter, Ciri.
So when the pass was clear enough for travel in the spring, Eskel had made up his mind: he was done with doing what was expected of him.
Eskel wanted to retire.
In years bygone, Eskel had spent some time in Oxenfurt, sitting in on whatever classes at the University that allowed mutants, and he’d thoroughly enjoyed that pursuit of knowledge, though he could never afford the tuition to attend as a student.

After the rally, Vox finds Alastor hot and bothered in his chair from watching him expertly manipulate the crowd. It's truly his winning day.
