Unlike previous games, Guardians of Azuma doesn't have many events that involve your character's children. But what if it did? Take a peek with me into an alternate universe, where Guardians of Azuma has unique events for each of the romanceable characters and their children with the PC!
In Cuilang's family bond event, his child with the PC has sprained their ankle! (Feat. Kaguya as his spouse and Hana as his child.) It's a common, if troublesome, childhood injury. However, the sight of it is causing poor Cuilang to error in a way he hasn't in ages! Can Kaguya help him sort through his feelings and deal with those difficult errors before she has TWO injured family members on her hands?

It was getting hard to think through the haze of panic. “Please help him, he—suffering from shock. Immediate care required. Move patient somewhere sheltered, safe, and warm. I—why did I say-say-say-say—ERROR.”

Had to change the title again because one of my lovely commentators pointed out the… not innocent interpretation of the old title…
When Ikaruga shows up to town one day after the scuffle at the Astral Shrine, Fubuki is determined to help him feel welcome, unlike Kaguya, who couldn't care less about the man that senselessly got in her way.
Ikaruga and Fubuki slowly let the other in, completely unaware of what tragedy is just around the bend.
OR
slight canon divergence that starts at the middle of arc 2 where all characters have more important roles and Fubuki and Ikaruga bond, and arc three is "What if Clarice was more dangerous?" with some major canon divergence.
The base plot is (mostly) still there, I just filled in plot holes and am giving everyone a chance to be important.
Also, there are less prominent ships I haven't mentioned in tags.
I'm trying to give all characters a role in this fic, so they should show up sooner or later.

“Feel that?” Kaguya asked, trying to keep her voice steady as possible. “I’m breathing. I need you to breath with me, okay?”
Cuilang looked at her with wide eyes. She had no idea if he’d heard her.
“I’m—I’m going to count to three. I need you to breathe until I finish counting. Like this,” at that she took one slow deliberate breath, counting, “One, two, three.”Cuilang drew in one long shaky breath and exhaled as Kaguya directed him. Then again. And again. Until his desperate, ragged breaths smoothed into something resembling a normal breathing rate. Kaguya rubbed one hand in what she hoped were soothing circles against his arm.
As he calmed down, he buried his face in the crook of her neck. She could feel tears, hot and wet against her bare skin. Minutes passed, silence broken only by the occasional rattling breath. Kaguya let his hand fall from her chest so she could wrap him in both her arms. Soft, real, red hair tickled her nose. Now, as the fear began to subside, the situation was beginning to sink in.
Cuilang was human.

Summary
Ikaruga wakes up temporarily blinded in a cave with a wounded Kaguya after they jump from a cliff into a river to escape a monster horde.
After sending a messenger shikigami for help, a little time passes. Then Ikaruga discovers just how bad her injuries are, and has to pray a rescue team will reach them in time… assuming his message made it to its destination.
Kai has to race to reach his injured Bondmate before she dies as the rest of their Bondmates fight their way to them.
But more than one of the other gods is possessed... and out for revenge.

It was unseasonably hot in Autumn Village, and Subaru and Cuilang were taking refuge in the latter’s basement.
“That’s cool,” Subaru whispered, drawing a large white box then watching it disappear against the brown background when he lifted his finger.
Cuilang laughed at him.
Subaru spun around, eyes narrowed as he bit back a smile. “What are you laughing at?” he said.
“Your fascination with such a basic function is amusing. It’s like watching a cat with string.”
Subaru punched him gently in the shoulder, knowing he wouldn’t feel it. Cuilang laughed again, just as stilted and genuine as the first time.
Subaru held out the computer mouse toward him. “Well, I don’t know how any of this works, so you’ll have to show me what you think is cool,” he said.

Summary
Cuilang didn’t need system reminders to know he was neglecting his maintenance.
Subaru would kill him if he knew—then painstakingly tend to his maintenance himself and restore his power, probably. Cuilang did not want to burden him with this, so he had done everything he could to ensure the Earth Dancer remained unaware. It was easy, since he had no experience maintaining machines and thus had no frame of reference to compare to.
Cuilang wasn’t trying to break down. Nor was he enjoying all of the system warnings. It was just that since he’d married Subaru, he couldn’t stand to do the tasks that reminded him of the gulf of differences between his body and a real human’s.

Summary
Between nightmares that were returning memories Kaguya would give anything to forget, and a strong likelihood that she would have to die to reunite the Heart Shards with the Heart leave the Earth Dancer deeply regretting confessing her feelings to Cuilang a few weeks ago.
After running through a freak ice storm together on a joint metal ore run deep into Autumn, Cuilang insists she spend the night at his place rather than her open, poorly insulated Dragon Shrine. Oh course, she has a nightmare that night, and later in passing mentions the “purple-eyed shadow monster” who saved her instead of killing her to Cuilang.
After a confrontation with the gods after performing Dance of the Seer, Kaguya is thrown into reliving all her worst memories of her time in captivity, from torture and rape to suicide attempts and sacrifice.
She’s had to suffer through them before: sometimes Woolby is there to help, but more often, she finds somewhere to hide outside the villages and suffers through them alone.
This time, at least, she isn’t alone.

「說起來，這是祭祀什麼的祭典？」昴流問，將擋住容貌的面具略為拉起，大口咬下剛才在某攤位買下的烤魷魚。
追嵐把手放在下巴，低頭思考，然後表示：「詳情我也不清楚，不過從師傅留下有關秋之里的歷史記錄裡面，有一處提到更早前秋之里發生過相當頻繁的人類小孩失蹤事件，被懷疑是與妖怪有關係。鞍馬大人當時在兩個世界之間追加了結界，而舉行祭典的理由，則似乎是為了把『現界』的熱鬧帶進『他界』，以安撫只能留在『他界』的存在。」
大地舞者於面具下皺眉：「可是祭典本身…不也可能會讓其他人誤闖進來嗎？如果有誰像我剛才那樣太過深入…這樣豈不是會很危險？」
機關師搖頭，牽緊了伴侶的手。「畢竟是一年一度結界變得模糊的日子…儘管鞍馬大人尊為司掌秋天與風之神祇，擁有強大的力量，亦無法顧及所有狀況。更何況很長時間鞍馬大人待在神橋裡面沒有親自到場監視，所以我才會在每年祭典舉行的時候前來，希望能夠幫上忙。」
二人一同眺望矗立於他們前方的櫓，戴著面具的人們一圈接一圈圍住了舞台，跟隨太鼓的節奏愉快地起舞。
不同的種族於此刻混在一起，由於看不到臉孔，無法判斷參與者都來自哪裡。
「雖然擅自猜想神明的想法實在有失敬畏…」機關師淡淡地道：「可是我認為：這些無法回歸起始與終結的孤獨靈魂…也是屬於秋之里、鏡子裡面的居民。或許，亦是神明想要守護的對象吧。」＋
