(Cyrano returns from war and wishes nothing more than to be there for Roxane who is crushed by Christian's death. However, she soon realises things are starting to feel different, or maybe she had just been blind before ... Cyrano needs to overcome his fear and tell her about the letters. Everything starts at a poetry reading.)

He is aware that he is in a soft bed, his head against a fully pillow. For just a few moments, all he can feel is the pain in his chest, the wound dully throbbing, and the sunlight hitting his eyes. Then, a vision of his beloved fills his mind, and memories of sweet confessions and longing kisses overpower him. If this is what awaits him after death; this bed and these memories, he is quite content.
