Summary
In the Season Three final episode of Stargate Universe, “Gauntlet”, all members of Destiny go into stasis pods to make the three year journey to another galaxy to get completely get away from the drones that were attacking them each time they dropped out of FTL to renew supplies, and inhibiting Destiny's ability to recharge by going into the outer layers of a particular star. Rush and Eli manage to get the pods working so everyone on board would be able to make the journey without draining all of Destiny's power. All but one pod. Eli volunteered to stay awake to repair that final pod for himself. The only problem was that it had to be done in two weeks if he wanted to survive.
In my previous story (which can be found on AO3), "Three Years, Two Weeks, In The Blink Of An Eye", Eli awakens Chloe, and with her help they find a rogue star outside of the galaxy to renew Destiny's power reserves, and together they repair the final stasis pod so Eli can be with them when Destiny arrives at the target galaxy.
