Being clairvoyant was never what Carlos wanted.
This whole time, he’s been telling himself he hates it, it’s scary, it’s embarrassing, it would be such a relief not to deal with it anymore. How many times has he wished that the dreams and the visions would cease? Hoped that some obscure branch of his research would lead to a cure? Imagined that he could push a button, or take a pill, or perform a ritual, that would make it all stop?
And now it has. Now it has, and he doesn’t feel relieved at all.
He feels deserted.

There was a high-pitched sound from the other end, and although one might have assumed it was some kind of interference with their phone call from a vague yet menacing government agency, Carlos was pretty sure there was a more reasonable explanation. It was definitely a sound that had come out of Cecil. And it was absolutely perfect.
The on-going adventures of our favorite scientist as he learns the truth of what it's like to date someone whose life may be just as messy as his own. A companion piece to the second season of Welcome to Night Vale.

Now his own day-to-day life is full of things like angels, witches, hooded spectres, portals between worlds, vague yet menacing branches of the Magisterium, and a man who walks around without his daemon and can read an alethiometer as easily as a stop sign.
