“She doesn’t?” Damian shook his head. “Ewen, isn’t that-”
“The third time this happened, yeah, I KNOW.” Ewen groaned unhappily. “Every time I try to ask her, she tells me what a great friend I am for treating her so well.”
“And…?”
“And I don’t have the heart to correct her.” He shook his head. “Damian, I’ll be doing this until I’m an old man. Taking Becky on dates, while she just… thinks I’m being nice…”“MOM!” Demitrius scolded. “We’re not supposed to know that they’re dating, remember?” “YOU BOTH KNEW!” Damian shouted, jumping up from his seat. “Jeeves, did you tell them?”
“DESMOND!” Becky’s scream could be heard from across the stadium.
“Hello Desmond.” A sinister voice spoke in his ear as if on cue, and he turned to find himself face-to-face with a rather murderous looking Becky Blackbell, followed very closely by a tired-looking Ewen.
“Since, the, um, fall dance.” Damain cut in, refusing to look the brunette in the eyes. “I guess that’s not too-” “LAST year’s fall dance.” Anya added
“They needed to confess to each other at some point!” She scolded. “I can’t watch them pine for each other without confessing anymore!”
