Devon has celebrated Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) every year for as long as he can remember. Although this year, Cameron wants to join in the festivities. The happy couple spends the month of October preparing for the day. Devon finds himself worrying about how Cameron will handle the holiday when the day eventually comes. Maybe Devon finds himself more anxious about today than Cameron does? A day all about death after their close encounter with it back in Echo?

Ten months have passed since that terrible weekend in Echo, and Cameron's not sure if he's gotten much better. The move to Bonneville hadn't helped. Neither did Devon having to go back into the office. And he's dreading the idea of finding a new therapist.
He can't keep going like this. With each day, he feels the seven years they've spent together come one step closer to an end, whether Devon can see it or not. Cameron needs to get better; he needs to reverse this downward spiral. He just doesn't know if he can.
