Minkowski wakes up on a ship that is decidedly not her ship, and she doesn’t know how she got there, but she knows it isn’t natural. She also doesn’t know why Lovelace is there, but the rest of her actual crew is nowhere to be seen.

Summary
Here’s the thing: Jacobi expected to be the first one of them to die. Come on. Maxwell was smart as hell and he would have laid down his life to save her in an instant. Kepler was obviously the scariest man anyone's ever had the blessing to see in their life. Jacobi was just the support. And when a building collapses, it’s the load-bearing part that goes first.
Or, while on the Urania, Jacobi finds the whiskey Kepler left over. He tries to figure out what to do with it--and with himself.

Summary
But not like before. No, this is like he has new eyes. New optic nerves. New brain. "Was it always this bright in here?" He asks, wrinkling his nose.
"The star," comes Daisuke's answer. He stands by the big bay windows, bathed in blue light. Hm. When did that start? It used to be red. Stars don't just change color. Well, they do, but if it had done so in the usual way, they wouldn't be alive. "It started glowing when…when…"
Curly nods. "Very blue. Very nice."

Renée leans over and looks at the bottle a little closer. "I don't even know if this stuff qualifies as mouthwash. It just seems like alcohol and sugar." She turns to Hilbert. "As much as I hate to even ask, can we make it usable?"
He shrugs. "Might be able to boil out the alcohol and utilize the sugar. Nothing guaranteed, of course."
Minkowski sighs, pinches the bridge of her nose and breathes out for three or so seconds, sighs again, and nods. "Well. That's something at least. Maybe not starving to death is better than definitely starving to death.

Summary
It was one thing to wish Decima had never happened. It was another to face the immediate situation: fingernails where there shouldn’t be; hair growing in thick and well from flash-frozen follicles; body mass coming back in a clean, steady trajectory.
Healing, Eiffel considered distantly, where there should have been no healing.
(Or: Hilbert and Eiffel claw towards an understanding.)

Summary
The rich and evil are addicted to the Decimavirus aka alien blood that allows the user to have regenerative properties similar to that of "immortality". The catch? One has to reinject themselves with this virus repeatedly every so often for the effects to work.
Having already eradicated the entirety of said alien race for its blood Kakos Industries' supply of Decimavirus gets smaller and smaller by the day and thus its addicts get hungrier for its effects.
Since Wolf 359 is known to have regenerative properties from its radiation the hope is that said radiation will trigger a mutation in the virus that allows anyone to take only a singular dose of the virus and achieving a closer state of "true immortality"
The way they plan to spread this virus once recreated? By giving away free soap to shareholders and non-shareholders alike of course! The goal is to achieve true reign of Evil by giving everyone immortality because you either die a good person or live long enough to see yourself become the villain. It's science, apparently.

Summary
Hera has saved Doug F. Eiffel's life on plenty of occasions. He's done his best to teach her about pop culture, even if no one else on the Hephaestus can understand the references. They're coworkers of a strange sort. They're friends. They might even be best friends. But when Eiffel slips up and mentions sex, a topic Hera hasn't been given any information on, she refuses to let him drop the subject. No, she wants to learn as much as she can, and she'll need Eiffel to teach her.

Summary
“Uh uh, I’m starting industrial action or whatever, this is a sit in.” And with that, Eiffel flopped across the two of them bodily, pinning them down. Or he would be doing that if there was gravity. As it was, he was just being very dramatic.
“Ugh, Eiffel!”

Summary
It feels like forever since dr. Hilbert broke the news about Eiffel’s new status as a test subject for the deadly space virus. The coughing has been getting worse, but he is trying his hardest to hide it. Minkowski has been noticing a concerning amount of bloody tissues stuffed in the garbage. Told in short stabs over several days.

Summary
“Okay,” Eiffel starts, opening the panel to Hera’s sensory array and examining the contents beneath, hands poised on either side of it, “so, there’s two ways we can go about this: either you can tell me how to fix you up, or you can toss me the manual, shut your eyes real tight, and let me go atcha with a screwdriver and a dream. What’ll it be, baby?”
(What Eiffel and Hera were /really/ doing with the sensory array while Minkowski played Die Hard in the vents system. Or, as I say every single time I watch Watchmen (2009) and subsequently the worst soundtracked sex scene ever: THE SHIP GETS TO CUM TOO!)
