Summary
There were many tales of both beasts and monsters that existed beyond the sheltered walls of the kingdom, and those who dreamt of gold and glory spent time training to find and slay them.
Then there were those desperate people, who had nothing left to lose and everything to gain from seeking the creatures who could lay waste to villages and towns without a second thought. That was the current position Dream found himself in.
The Red Dragon was large, fierce and powerful. It stole and hoarded gold, jewels and treasure of all kinds, nesting itself high upon a mountain and terrorising nearby villages. If Dream could bring back this beast’s head, then he would get all the attention he deserved, all the money he needed to finally do more than just survive.
taking a deep breath and swallowing shakily, he gripped his sword tighter and lept forward-
Tripping on a loose rock and falling backwards.
Fuck.
The eyes opened, and Dream was in awe for a few moments as he was met with deep fiery brownish-red eyes.

Summary
The world is full of dragons, beautiful and highly intelligent sentient beings who know the value of family and love as well as any human, possibly even more than them.
The fact that many are forced against their will to become pets or slaves to humanity makes Eret sick to their stomach. It's a wrong they seek to right alongside Foolish, a gorgeous dragon she befriended who follows her out of his own free will. Together, they free and protect every dragon who just wishes to be free. They're always on the move, always relying on each other as equals.
But when one auction they attended to save the dragons who were captured went more south than they could've ever predicted, both find themselves with dragon hunters hunting for their heads, a lost dragon who was further from home than he realized, and a horde they must travel with to find sanctuary.

Summary
George's heart leaps into his throat when he sees just how much danger his dragon's in.
Sapnap's pinned to the ground by a massive dragon bristling with spikes, one paw shoving his face into the dirt and keeping him trapped no matter how much he whines and squirms. Dark smoke pours from the wild dragon's jaws as it sinks its teeth into Sapnap's saddle, tugging hard enough to lift Sapnap's chest off the ground.
It's going to kill him.
George reacts without thinking. He grabs onto the dragon's tail because it's the only thing he can reach, yanking as hard as he can, and the startled grunt it lets out is followed by its tail slamming into his chest.

George is a dragon rider, Sapnap's his dragon; though they don't have a shared language, they've learned to understand each other. When they crash in dragon territory, they run into a wild dragon named Dream who hates humans and would like nothing better than to kill George. Unfortunately for him, Sapnap is willing to protect George with his life, so Dream is forced to put up with a human living in his cave while Sapnap heals. . .and in the process, Dream and George both learn how many things they've been wrong about.

“Quackity, Sapnap,” Karl whispers—fear-panic-warning seeping into their bonds—that they lift their heads; Sapnap’s wings already shifting to shelter Karl further; grabbing a hold of Quackity entirely, tugging him closer as his other wings comes round to shadow him; all three heads staring up look through the canopy; twin hisses rising with sails and the clicking of Quackity’s spines.
“Sssh, we haven’t been seen,” Karl hushes, squirming against the hand that snags around his waist; Sapnap trying to pull him into his embrace; “don’t move, it’s just a scout, we haven’t been seen,” repeating the words over and over.We haven’t been seen, we haven’t been seen, we haven’t been seen.
It’s a prayer as much as it is the truth.
But for how much longer….The dragon is high up, twisting in and out of the clouds; a dark silhouette against the open sky, so small that Karl can’t make it’s colourings or features that would determine what branch of species it is. He can’t even see if it’s saddled or being ridden, if it’s a wild dragon from the few clans that have resented human companionship or if it’s one of hers...

Summary
For generations, Dragons had been viewed as evil, bloodthirsty monsters that did nothing but terrorize kingdoms and kill mercilessly only to be slain by the heroic prince as he freed his land from the wretched grasp of the scaled monster, but history has always been told by the winners and the image of kingdoms had always been wiped clean despite the blood that stained it.
Which is likely why the stories never included the tales of money hungry men stripping the scales from the dragon's flesh as they slept peacefully or the tons and tons of gold stolen from hordes worst of all, no one was told of the hatchlings stolen from their mothers after breaking free from their shell, sold into fighting rings and forced to attack using their tiny claws and small sparks to attempt to gain the upper hand. The seemingly eternal war between humans and dragons showed no sign of ending before the gods above decided to end it with one little alteration.
Or Karl and Sapnap are princes and soulmates but Sapnap is a dragon, the humans don't like dragons and Karl and Sap try to hide the dragon traits to keep Sapnap safe in Kinoko. Everyone knows there is something off with the prince's new boyfriend, but no one knows what it is. -
