Summary
In a reality, where Valka was taken by Cloudjumper, but used the knife in her boot to kill the dragon in mid-flight and swim back to Berk. This ends up changing Hiccup's entire future, now living with a father who hates him for not being a Viking and a mother who avoids him because she considers it Hiccup's fault for her kidnapping. Hiccup's life is full of pain, as if it weren't enough for him to understand the Dragon Language, until at the age of 12 everything changes, when he is found by Toothless in the forest. Hiccup discovers a New World, where he is accepted and loved, becoming Toothless' Omega and above all the Dragon Master. But he is still Hiccup the Useless, and when these two Worlds collide, Hiccup has to make a choice. It should be difficult, but for him to choose the dragons and go against the Vikings was always his destiny. This is a story full of Viking blood spilled, don't expect Hiccup to show mercy, after all he is above all a Dragon.

The Nadder shifted uncomfortably beside the Night Fury and the other dragons of their ‘group,’ glancing from the Night Fury to the images. “What is this supposed to mean?” she asked, her voice sharp, though there was a flicker of unease in her tone. The Night Fury found himself relating to it. “It means we’re trapped here, obviously,” the Nightmare snapped, his wings twitching irritably. “And they’re going to force us to watch this.. whatever this is.”

Summary
A small part of him felt cheated, in a way. This was supposed to be his success. Astrid was definitely learning from his friendship with Toothless, so all of the praise she was getting was supposed to be his. He was the one learning about dragons, and he would have used all this knowledge to get their training sessions as short as possible if it wasn’t for Astrid constantly beating him to it.
But a much more prominent part of him figured this was better. He didn’t want the glory anymore. He didn’t want anyone to think he was a dragon killer prodigy. He didn’t want people to swarm him now that he was finally hanging out with a friend who actually liked Hiccup for who he was, not demanding he changed in the least. Toothless was much better company than the Vikings of Berk.

As a dude, it was hard to write from that perspective, so now I'm changing it and touching up the writing now that it's been five years.And I will say this ONE time because it got annoying the first time I wrote this: Snotlout is not Hiccup's cousin. He may be in the books, but he is not in the movie universe. They are not related. If you think they are, that's called a headcanon and is not something you can will into the minds of others.
