Something he won’t touch due to a case of denial, and analyzing his complex emotions for a world-renowned assassin isn't something he wants to run by the Phoenix department therapist.
When Murdoc starts communicating with Mac after his escape with Cassian after the events of (S2E15 Murdoc+Handcuffs), Mac decides to keep the correspondence to himself instead of reporting it to Phoenix. This shall be interesting.
