Summary
Delia Shepard, traumatized and addicted to red sand after Torfan, has found a quiet-- albeit boring-- life on the Citadel as a Drugs and Trafficking Officer. When one of her informants is found dead in an alley, she's forced to team up with Detective Garrus Vakarian: an unfeeling, stiff, full of himself douche. But as they work together, they find that a dead mole is the least of their issues. Trouble is brewing, enemies are at every turn. And to top it all off, Shepard has sworn off friendships completely after the Alliance. So why can she barely function without Vakarian?
In another dark corner of the Citadel, Archangel has decided to sign up for an anonymous sex club. What's the worst that can happen? He's matched with a human he knows only as the Commander, someone who he can demand to obey his every rule and whim. As their meetings progress, Archangel finds himself getting closer and closer to the Commander. Can lust turn into something more substantial?
Essentially, the plot of Mass Effect if Shepard was not on Eden Prime, mixed with the love child of You've Got Mail and Fifty Shades of Grey.

Summary
Cadet Jane Shepard elects to do an exchange program with the turian officer training program during one of her summer breaks from the Alliance Naval Academy. She's partnered with Officer Candidate Garrus Vakarian, and it does not go well. He's got the prickliest attitude she's ever seen, and he clearly hates her.
Fortunately, the hatred only lasts until they discover that humans and turians can work out their differences in some exceptionally creative ways. They also discover that a turian sniper and a wrecking ball masquerading as a human biotic make one hell of a team on the battlefield.
A mostly canon-compliant AU in which Shepard and Vakarian become fiercely loyal friends long before Saren finds Sovereign and launches Shepard's career as a Spectre.

Grace Shepard has been promoted to Commander of the SSV Normandy, serving under Captain David Anderson. While on the ship’s Shakedown mission, she and her squad (comprised of Lieutenant Kaidan Alenko and Gunnery Chief Ashley Williams) uncover a plot by a turian Spectre, Saren, to destroy free will and enslave the entirety of organic life to a race of Artificial Intelligence known as the Reapers. In light of this discovery, Shepard must build a crew and race against time to stop Saren from achieving his goal. Standing in her way are armies of geth, an AI collective working for Saren. Can Shepard and her crew stop the machine overlords? Or will she die on the precipice of humanity’s fall?

“Wow Shepard, the others weren’t lying. Your cabin’s huge! I mean, what even is this fish tank?” Kaidan stands washed by the cool blue light, and Shepard chuckles, reminded of when they visited the Citadel for the first time. Kaidan’s exclamation of “Big place!” and Shepard holding back his amusement at the then-lieutenant.
That was three years ago, and Shepard’s missed two of them, years during which the lieutenant has grown and been promoted into the very major that stands before him. Strong, capable, and oh so handsome.
Thinking that he’s waited long enough, Shepard walks over. Kaidan doesn’t even notice until Shepard is right up beside him, but when he does, an endearingly sheepish look grows on his face.
“Sorry, I, uh, got distracted.”
“I can see that.” Shepard says, trying his hardest to pretend like he doesn’t find Kaidan just so damn adorable.
Kaidan’s awkward grin morphs into an affectionate smile. "So, what did you want to talk about?"
"Well, I wanted to know…" Shepard presses closer. "What did you mean by 'benefits'?”
