    That was until their capital was attacked by Metropolis, a nearby Empire hellbent on taking over the world. The only member of the royal family able to escape was the eldest son and middle child, Sonic, along with the prince's personal guard and the apprentices of the Court Mage and Royal Blacksmith. The party of refugees is forced to seek asylum in the mysterious Black Comet, a kingdom hidden in a vast mountain range and said to be ruled by a king killer.

    All they can do is hope the shadowy hedgehog that sits on the throne will show mercy and be the key to getting their kingdom back.

    Over 20 years ago the royal castle of Mobius was burnt down with the Queen and her three newborn children still inside, left to succumb to it's flames. For even longer Shadow has kept out of the affairs of mortals and lived in peaceful isolation just outside the main kingdom. His peaceful life is interrupted by a mysterious hedgehog who brings more questions than answers and puzzles worth solving. The possibility of the royal family's death not being an accident comes to light as Shadow struggles to keep an ancient promise despite his wish to be left alone.

    Act 1: Soleanna
    Sonic, Tails, and Shadow start on their quest to locate the keys to unlocking the power of the Gods and find if the mysterious Chaos Emeralds are truly a myth or not. Their first stop is the Kingdom of Soleanna and the South Islands where a possessed princess is being manipulated by her courts into hunting down her missing brother with murderous intent.

    Summary

    When Shadow was created he came out with a bit more Black Arms influence. As such he was treated a lot worse by most people on the Ark (minus Maria). Post raid his pod isn't found by G.U.N. and is instead found by Sonic a lot later. Well past when SA2 would have happened later. Sonic then tries to teach Shadow to be his own person, which of course comes with a whole host of difficulties. Thankfully Sonic has no intentions of giving up.

    Meanwhile Mephiles is thrown into this timeline's future where he encounter's this world's Silver. The two eventually end up teaming up to come back to the past not only to research it, but to potentially figure out what disaster befell Silver's current time. All while avoiding the past versions of people they know in the future.
