See the brothers childhood growing up on the Mobey Dick before starting their journeys. Smarter Luffy (But still the same lovable idiot), Stronger Luffy with Haki early on. He still wishes to be pirate king. Yamato joins the Whitebeard pirates as long as other characters after on.
Additionally see Koby embrace on every post timeskip arc from Dressrosa to Elbaf with Sword to see him become the strongest marines. (Koby's story will be the first 3 chapters then it will shift back to Luffy's story from childhood to East Blue saga all the way to Elbaf. Meanwhile he foes into sending secret articles across the world exposing corruption in the system.

Luffy, now crowned Pirate King isn't about to let that happen. Least of all when he finds out what he can do with his fruit. He'll do the same thing Joy Boy did, go back and make sure the carefully laid plans are fucked up in every possible scenario. They'll never see them coming, and he's going to enjoy the chaos that will bring. They know what is going on and they know how to lure them out and deal with them before they can act.

Joy Boy saves two children who were groomed into being vessels for the gods. He's not able to save one of them from possession, but it's not how he expected. He also didn't expect them to be his weakness.
Luffy was born to be a tool, and remains a tool in some ways. Only the one who is part of his body has his interests at heart. So it's not too bad!
Law hates everyone, but eventually deems Luffy not a lost cause like he'd initially thought. In fact, he'd go to great lengths to stay with him.
