Summary
Hailed as the Genius of Germany, Killjoy knows her team relies on her knowledge and her tech for their missions. The race against her Omega Earth counterpart feels never ending as the two engineers push themselves to outsmart the other.
After her tech fails on her, sending a routine mission awry, KJ is benched. Well, it might also have something to do with the massive bullet hole through her abdomen that won't quite heal.
Trapped by her obsession to find where she failed, Raze finds she is the only one who's keycard can open KJ's door—and she's the only one who can convince the engineer to turn her focus onto the wound eating away at her torso.
Determined to save the stubborn engineer, and come up with as many nicknames for her as possible, Raze becomes a constant in KJ's life, something she's never had before. Something she's never dared to hope for in the VP.
But just as KJ discovers the depths of her Omega counterpart's research into radiance, her troubled past with Kingdom is exposed, sending her spiraling down a dark path even Raze is loath to follow.
