Yeah, they're trying to save you, Tommy thought bitterly. While he doesn't think he would ever use a name for an 'evil purpose' now that he knows that humans are not all of what they seem, he knows that there are faeries who would use human names for evil. Maybe his own family..

Tommy has an okay life as a fae; he has a great family, but, y'know, overprotective much. Then one day he 'accidentally' (actually though) ended up in the human realm. He starts to figure out things in the mortal world and makes friends, and someone even takes him in! But it turns out he truly underestimates the lengths his family will go to find him.
Who knew this little escape would cause for sevral dark seacrets tocome out...

Tommy is a little kid who lives with his best friend Tubbo. One day, Tubbo falls sick, and nothing helps his condition. Still, Tommy would do anything for him, so he went into the forest for help of someone who can put him in a lot of danger. The fae. He didn't expect that he would have to come back, and after a few visits, he was friendly with the fae, He didn't know that the fae wouldn't let him go, as they themselves got attached.
They will make him part of their family, despite how Tommy felt about it. He wouldn't be given a choice. The fae will handle it.

He’d enjoyed power, and freedom, and for many years he’d been comfortable with protecting his people and spending his days at Phil’s side.

"W- yeah, uh, it's Ranboo." they said, not wanting to be rude. But the moment they said it, they felt a heavy pit of loss open up in their chest, like they had been emptied and left hollow like a carved pumpkin after the Feast of the Moon. They gasped, suddenly unable to take in enough of the bitingly frigid air, curling in on themself as they ached with the sudden vacuity making its home in them, fingers tingling with numbness as their head became light, dizzy.
“Ranboo.” A deep voice rumbled into their ear, close enough to send shivers down their spine. He said their name with a purpose, with a sense of satisfaction and amusement, and part of their mind quaked in fear, even if they weren’t quite sure what they were afraid of. “That was easy. It was nice to meet you, Ranboo. I’ll see you very soon.”

Summary
Names were a very powerful thing with fae. Obviously, fae tried to trick humans into giving up their names, and thus themselves, but fae names worked differently. Fae were made up of magic, and magic was wild and unruly and couldn’t be contained in a name. But, it was still a piece of themselves, and fae guarded their names just as carefully as any wise human would, perhaps even more carefully. Exchanging true names was often a way of bonding a pair of fae together, an act of total trust and acceptance. It weaved their magic together, the universe unable to tell one fae apart from another.
And Phil could confidently say he trusted Techno with his entire life and being. He took a shuddery breath, instinctual panic rising up in him as his mind caught up to what he was about to do, but there was no going back. This was the only possible way.

“Say my name one more time and I might think you’re trying to summon me,” Phil said. He took the lilies, cautious like he always was with unexpected generosity, and they dissolved in his hands. His half-frozen wing started to thaw. “You’re making us even with this?”
“Sure,” Techno said, because that made more sense than saying he'd just wanted Phil not to be in pain. “Plus, we can’t forget the current, active threats. These people do things like turn people into shoelaces. You could get stuck guarding a gate thinking that’s all you ever wanted in life. Someone could burn down your elm and make it look like an accident!”
“I’m in a floodplain, they can try,” Phil scoffed. “What about you, though, is yours vulnerable?”
“Technoblade never dies,” Techno informed him, since he couldn’t say yeah, sure, uh, ignore how you’ve never seen it, and had to add, “theoretically. No one’s ever empirically proven I can die, which is basically the same thing.”

Yet here he was, hurriedly scrambling away from a large portion of the townspeople, after being caught stealing again.
They were pissed
Tommy could feel the flames from their torches licking his back. and sharp ends of pitchforks tearing into his flesh. Blood rushes from his wounds and soaks into his shirt. He pushes himself to run faster.
He doesn't want to run anymore; he thinks as he takes a sudden turn.
When he was a younger boy, and his mom was still around, she had warned him of the forest. Of the things lurking in the shadows, of the sparkling eyes trying to lure you in, of ugly, vile, creatures that she said wouldn't hesitate to rip him apart.
Tommy didn't want to die but he couldn't keep running.
He didn't care anymore."

Summary
The feywild is a beautiful place. A kaleidoscope of colors and chaos and its own fucked up version of order. It’s dizzying and enchanting in equal measure. It’s not a place mortal humans are safe in. For them, it is a place of danger, of walking on a knife’s edge or risk becoming a puppet in your own mind. It’s a place of insanity. A careful dance or a constant fight for freedom. For him, it was both.
Tommy was stuck in the feywild and trapped by his own stupidity. Even still he's not going to stop fighting to get free. He needs to find his brother and escape. And maybe he'll find someone, anyone, who was willing to help them. Because you couldn't leave the feywild without one of it's own.

Ah, the human realm. No where near as elegant as the fae realm, but Technoblade enjoyed popping in from time to time to see what humans passing through the forest he could trick. Even these two annoying forest dwellers that came by claiming they owned his forest couldn't ruin his visit completely. Of course, that is until their arguing summons an eldritch being.
