“What old wives tale?” Techno asked, masking his annoyance best he could. The neighbor wasn’t even bothering to help shoo the birds away.
“Aw man, it’s an old story about the Crow Man. The Crow Man fell in love with a goddess that granted him some children as company, but the Crow Man’s kids were stolen by an angry mob and hidden all around the world, so now, every autumn, the Crow Man sends out his crows in search of his lost children. It always stops on the Day of the Dead, though, to honor his goddess love.”
“Well, he’s not gonna find any lost children here,” Techno snorted.

Summary
The world fell out of balance seven years ago, delving into chaos. It wasn’t what the people expected; there weren’t any collapses of government nor the world bursting into flame. Instead, fiends gained the upper hand over the Enderians in their battle for mortals. No one knows how they did it.
Humans probably didn’t notice a change, just living their day-to-day life. This tip of the scale didn’t affect them, but instead affected the natural balance. The Enderians grew desperate, refusing to let the fiends even win a single battle. They brewed a plan, one used by God in the past. They were going to flood the earth. Wipe away the sin and evil of humanity.
One Enderian disagreed with this plan, he insisted they shouldn’t use the same tactics as before, and it obviously failed them. He tried everything to convince his brethren of a different solution, yet he made a fatal mistake. He quoted a human, an infamous general and his ‘art of war.’ The Enderians turned on him and he was chased from The End. However, it was too late, their plan of flooding had been foiled.
As he fell down to earth, his pearly white wings shifted just a shade darker.

Summary
The royal family of the empire has been blessed with special powers by the gods, but theoretically anyone could also be blessed if they were destined for something great. Philza, for instance, got giant crow wings and became a beloved king. Kristen, his wife, has some control over death and became a loved queen. Wilbur can put people at ease with his music and is the crown prince. Tommy has the power of inspiring a crowd to do whatever he wants and is the second prince. Pretty simple so far, not too many people get these powers and they’re all pretty influential people. Well, Techno is just your average civilian who’s greatest feat seems to be always growing great produce no matter what. Turns out, he’s got the power to make plants absolutely THRIVE wherever he spends time. He doesn’t even realize that flowers perking up when you walk by isn’t normal, but Niki the flower shop owner does. Something that most people don’t know is that no one in the royal family is related by blood and that Wilbur and Tommy are the princes because Philza and Kristen had a natural instinct to adopt any kids with powers. Long story short, Philza is now on a mission to get a new son. Read on as shenanigans ensue and bonds form.

Techno swallowed.
“Well,” he said, clearing his throat, “we’ve got plenty of chickens. And pigs. And you’ve got your nest.”
Tommy brightened. “And you.”
“Yeah.” Techno reached over and gave the top of his head a gentle ruffle, fingers brushing through downy feathers. “You’ve got me too.”

One of his barrels of salted meat had been moved (He was fairly sure birds were omnivores, at least he was.) A barrel of potatoes had been moved to hide something or someone in the corner.
Something creaked.
He moved closer to the barrel, moving his lantern to his dominant hand as he did. Someone was in here. His wings were out but puffed up as a way to make himself look bigger. Everything would be fine.
He moved one of the barrels and was met with… a kid.

“How old are you?” Technoblade asked.
“Fifteen,” the boy said, jutting out his sharp little chin as if to compensate for the whole head of height he lacked next to the second shortest boy in the row. Technoblade felt a headache prickling at his temples.
“I will ask that again. Think of your answer carefully this time. How old are you?”
The boy looked up. He had eyes the color of sky before dawnbreak, and fire in them that burned more fiercely than a star newly born.
“I'm fifteen, sir,” he repeated without a shade of doubt. “Old enough for war.”

When Commander Technoblade is given a soldier to train who is clearly much too young, he makes everything in his power to make him leave. Unfortunately for him, Tommy is stubborn. Phil has an amusing time watching Technoblade trying not to get attached to the kid (and failing miserably). Somehow it turns into a story of learning to live and letting go.

Summary
Technoblade is an avian who found an elytrian child in the woods being attacked by a spider. After taking the child in he teaches him to fly and tells him about the world. 8 years go by together. Along the way Tommy finds out Techno is an avian, but is sworn to secrecy. Soon after a strange man in a brown trench coat appears demanding Techno return Tommy to his REAL family. Tommy says no and Techno stands by him. But how long can Techno keep Tommy safely by his side. While their meeting was off putting, Techno finds himself enjoying Wilbur's company. Tommy doesn't seem convinced with this and says it's an act. Techno likes the sound of a family.
