It’s worse to know her life had no meaning at all.

Aka, a character study on Baghera’s relationship to Jaiden in the Federation. Her best friend. The one person she wanted to be with more than anything else.

A huge mushroom cloud had risen in the distance, whirlwinds, blinding light and the shattering and trembling of the ground above them which would burrow itself deep into Phil’s fragile avian bones and off-set his balance. Maxo had been experimenting with nuclear power and its properties with Tubbo and while the sirens still screamed above, red lights blinked rapidly and farm animals and every other living thing scurried away from inevitable doom, Tubbo had called for Phil. He had sounded scared, guilty, even grimly fascinated. No words had been said in the hub and Phil had found himself hoping he could have pulled the teenager on the other line into a hug. Their eyes had been fixed to the screen as the blast rolled over them in waves, leaving the cameras and every equipment a broken stream of static.
“You seeing this?"
Tubbo’s voice had been shaky. Together they had watched how their connection to the world above severed.
Or, in which three towns do their best to survive in post nuclear apocalyptic world while keeping their morals and keeping their kids safe. Oh, and there's new arrivals in the horizon who crashed with a plane. Terrible parking.

At the Federation, for making her this way. At the Watcher, for dragging that baby out into the open without a way for it to go back in. At the baby itself, for ruining her relationships and her life and making everyone else worry about her. More importantly, she was mad at herself. ||
After a talk with Roier that brings the baby out, Baghera finds herself spiraling out of control. Although, someone did say she could come over at any time and now, she might just take him up on it.

I am an Early Childhood Education major who works with toddlers. We take psychology classes to learn what NOT to do. I said “Okay, but what if the Federation did it anyway?”
(Child sexual abuse is mentioned but not written. The whole story is about Elena trying to figure out what happened with a child who cannot communicate well. I wanted to do more of a character study of Elena and her thought process than anything else, if that helps explain it.)
