Harvey does not care much for grand romantic gestures.
It's not like he can pull them off anyways, even if he did care. He just prefers to keep things simple, that's all. Simple, and honest.
Showing his love for his wife involves a lot of these simple things. Things like cooking meals, doing the laundry, restocking the medicine cabinet, and a few more. They're not really romantic gestures by any means, but they show that he cares. And as long as they mean something, then Harvey is willing to do them.
But one day, he listens to Maru gush over Sebastian's confession to Abigail and realises that maybe it's not enough.

The kickstart was him, and you will always have undying love toward him.Maddie ends up meeting some interesting people: One of which share the same battles as her. Most of which don't quite understand her. One of which wants to understand. Wants to feel your pain and to sympathise.
It just isn't enough. Nothing is. No matter how hard anyone tries, nothing helps.
The drinking and drugs wont flush it out- just pure self hatred is the fuel to keep her going. Or so she thought.
Maybe all she wants is validation. Love. Care. She wants pure souls; intertwined and sown together in harmony.
Will Maddie ever get that validation dream? Or will it be stolen from her and crushed by the forces of man; shattering her soul and mind into a million pieces. Unfixable. Useless.-
