(fandom grandma voice) back in my day AT fans were 20 year old stoners, there's a lot more teens around now just discovering it because of Fionna and Cake, and while I cannot stop them from reading my VERY EXPLICIT AU I'd rather they have something more appropriate to consume, so, here we are. “I saw Fern when I was taken by the Lord of Eternity,” he utters against his palm before dropping it, “and he said something that’s stuck with me this whole time. I think about it constantly.” Finn glares towards his feet, narrowing his eyes and baring his teeth. “‘I can’t save everyone, and maybe not everyone needs saving. Do I really think everyone’s better off because of me.’ He was right and I got him killed because I couldn’t just accept that he didn’t need my ‘help’.” His eyes squeeze shut, knuckles turning white as he fists his hand at his side. “I’m tired, Prismo,” Finn whispers, voice crackling roughly over the tar in his lungs.
