Gaillardia has loved and lost many florets, and each holds a dear place in her core. The most recent parting was especially bittersweet, and she's a little apprehensive to accept another. But an Affini's very nature is to flower, and something about this particular sprout is beckoning her to love and risk loss once more.

Sam was as well-adapted to Compact life as any other Sophont. She went to not-work every day, (Affini Compact didn't like her calling it work) had normal hobbies, enjoyed Compact food. Really, she was just another independant who happened to like her old job as a flight attendant. Just because she was growing friendly with a regular Affini passenger didn't mean anything, right?
Pangea was quite busy, even by Affini standards, but not busy enough to ignore her draw towards that adorable flight attendant she'd met on a work trip. The little thing had simply been adorable, and it wasn't like delaying her flights by a few hours or sometimes a day or two would be a big loss in the grand scheme of things.
