Olay, XX. yüzyılın ikinci yarısında, bir gece, Turgut’un evinde başlamıştı. O zamanlar daha Olric yoktu, daha o zamanlar Turgut’un kafası bu kadar karışık değildi. Bir gece yarısı evinde oturmuş düşünüyordu. Selim, arkasından bir de herkesin bu durumlarda yaptığı gibi, mektuba benzer bir şey bırakarak, bu dünyadan birkaç gün önce kendi isteğiyle ayrılıp gitmişti. Turgut, bu mektubu çalışma masasının üstüne koymuş, karşısında oturup duruyordu. Selim’in titrek bir yazıyla karaladığı satırlar gözlerinin önünde uçuşuyordu. Harflerin arasında arkadaşının uzun parmaklarını seçer gibi oluyor, okuduğu kelimelerle birlikte onun kalın ve boğuk sesini duyduğunu sanıyordu.
O zamanlar, henüz, Olric yoktu; hava raporları da günlük bültenlerden sonra okunmuyordu. Henüz durum, bugünkü gibi açık ve seçik, bir bakıma da belirsiz değildi.

Summary
Armed with the memories of Ken Kaneki's humble beginning, to his transformation, his time living as an investigator, committing atrocities as the Black Reaper, to unifying humans and ghouls as the One-Eyed King, to seeing the destruction of Tokyo as the Dragon, and all the way until he and his wife brought their daughter into the world he knew, Haise Sasaki is reborn into a life of his own; a life that is flawed to its core structure.
Nothing seems right as he remembers it being; with constant rifts being formed that he along with only a few others can travel through by themselves, along with other deviations, Haise stares into the face of impossibility itself, as he tries to piece together the past he was given. From seeing alternate versions of Tokyo, to being sent to new lands where everything he once knew has completely changed, Haise will go through the trials and tribulations he needs to endure in order to manipulate the chain of events in the distorted timeline that's his to call his own, all with the help of friends of old flame and of new worlds.
His mission is to stop CCG, Aogiri Tree, and V by foiling their plans, and uniting Tokyo. That's easier said than done; even with the help of his allies.
