Summary
Ragnarök has passed, and the world is beginning to heal. Atreus has returned to Midgard, and Kratos has begun to do what he can as a God to rebuild and reconcile.
Unfortunately, strangers have a tendency to show up on the doorstep of their homestead, and this stranger is one Kratos never thought he would see again. One that has invited him back to his homeland.

I would like to offer a few warnings before you read! If you know the plot of the games leading up to GoW 2018, then you kind of know what kind of themes and topics this story will cover. if not, I highly recommend proceeding with caution. Also, sticking to some of the darker personifications of Greek Gods (ex Zeus being a serial r*pist), so please, be warned. Content warnings for the chapters will be posted in the starting notes.

Atreus was finally able to get to hunt on his own with the help of his wolf, Fenrir, when the sounds of a fight draw them to a group of people he’s never seen in this realm let alone the strange magic they use.
In the midst of the constant blizzard they all will have to work together to get one group home, bonding with one another along the way

Summary
A winter has passed since the events of Ragnarök. Two weeks have gone since the time Kratos and Mimir spent in Valhalla, and both Freya and Kratos have yet to see one another since.
The God of War has remained mostly dormant in his position, returning to his old log home in Midgard, deeming it unfit to reside in Sindri’s. In his son’s absence Kratos has recently found himself feeling lost and alone, especially after his adventuring with Freya ceased in the winter.
Freya has taken up the part of a strong leader and a potent warrior since Ragnarök, but hidden beneath the facade of her duties and leadership, she feels weak and vulnerable. The loss of both her brother and son in such short years took a part of her with her, and things have not looked the same.
*This is a fan fiction that is based primarily around my suspicions of the characterizations of Freya and Kratos in God of War 4 and 5. This story focuses less on Atreus and most other characters but instead on Freya and Kratos, as with God of War 5 their story seemed yet to be finished, and Freya had a mythology that was not complete. I do hope to include a continuation of Sigrund’s and Mimir’s tale, but we shall see.*
