When you start to see the timelines as roots, it all begins to make sense. So, of course, when one applies the name of something to another, you must also apply its rules.
A year ago, one person made the mistake of using the void to reform her world, now the other roots have become poisoned in turn. In turn, neither Frisk nor Chara could know this, not even after they both wake up in a patch of golden flowers after the events of their hundredth reset.

The human race is getting out of hand, a new anti-monster group is growing in power and monsters are getting dusted left and right. She can stop it, she knows she can, but will she be able to handle that responsibility while controlling her emotions?
I guess that's what happens when you're a soldier...
You're never supposed to drag your group into battles that you can't handle unless you absolutely have to
You're suppose to set an example, you NEED to be the leader, they all look to you for guidance
If anything gets out of hand, you need to be on the front lines for battle, to fight with them...-

Summary
Gift fic for Is_A_Zombie. The request was, "Maybe the pair get past Undyne and make it to the broken statue, without serious wounds, only small cuts and bruises. So they take a break and they reflect on matters."
As they sit under the statue, treating each other's wounds, Flowey asks why Frisk feels the need to spare everyone after they've both been killed many times, angry about the risks she takes. Her answer makes him understand why.

Frisk lost their glasses prior to falling down and so everything was seen as colorful blobs on their adventure. They could only guess as to what the monsters looked like. When they get their eyesight restored they realize that monsters are sapient versions of wildlife on the Surface. Frisk stared dumbly at Asgore. He looked just like one of the livestock owned by the neighbors!
