Marie Mountbatten formally Dane was in a dilapidated old orphanage until she was 5 years old, when one night during the witching hour, a knight of Hell Bram Mountbatten was instructed to take the soul and life of Marie.
He was never told her age and what she had done to receive such punishment, but he followed orders and went to Marie.
When he found her in the orphanage he saw that her door was padlocked shut with a couple dozen crosses nailed to the door. He broke the lock and what he saw in the room made his cold heart hurt. 5-year-old Marie was chained to her bed, and he saw blood on her wrist, he figured that there must've been a struggle to put her there. But he decided then and there that he would take the girl from the place that would chain her up.
He felt the magic radiating off of her, she was obviously very powerful, and she frightened the matrons of the establishment.
He took her to Hell and raised her as his own and when she was to go to Hogwarts he showered her in everything she would need, and her family bid her adieu.- Language:
