The poor boy was only in middle school and yet he was already being forced and molded into being the perfect son for his family's image. Light was supposed to be a grown up now in their eyes, not keeping childish things like the bear his mother gifted him as a newborn or the childish clothes he kept from just a year before.
"Haven't you heard? They say that feeling pain can help you," the child Light was supposed to be close to whispered into his ear. That same child would start a nasty habit in Light Yagami.-
